Every potter needs a few pottery books to help inspire them! Here are a few good books, which cover a variety of subjects relating to pottery and ceramics.

Clay and Glazes for the Potter

Clay and Glazes for the Potter - By pottery giants Daniel Rhodes and Robin Hopper, this book is often used as a pottery class text book. A classic! This book is a particular favorite of my sister, who cannot recommend it highly enough! (Check out this book on Amazon.co.uk.)

Hands in Clay
Hands in Clay: An Introduction to Ceramics - Incredibly comprehensive and much-desired book about all things pottery! (Check out this book on Amazon.co.uk.)
Ceramics - Mastering the Craft
Ceramics : Mastering the Craft - An overview of Ceramics, for beginner and experienced potter. By Richard Zakin and Val Cushing - two "big names" in pottery. (Check out this book on Amazon.co.uk.)
Handbuilt Ceramics

The Potter's Guide to Handbuilding - Learn how to handbuild! (Check out this book on Amazon.co.uk.)

Dick Blick Art Materials - one of my favorite mail order pottery suppliers. They sell Laguna, Duncan, and Amaco brand glazes - both earthenware and stoneware. Dick Blick even offers their own line of glazes (I haven't tested them yet - it's on my list!). Plus, they have potter's wheels, and many other pottery supplies!
